Loretta Aragon-Lopez, Principal at Roosevelt High School, has seen a change in the attitudes of students over the past 3 years. Now, she says, "Students are eager to learn and eager to participate. They take pride in their school and the District. They want so much for themselves and we've got to give that to them. "

Walt Buster is the Director of the Central Valley Education Leadership Institute at California State University, Fresno. Buster is the former Superintendent of Schools of Clovis Unified School District. From July, 2004, through December, 2004, he volunteered his time as Interim Superintendent at Fresno Unified after then Superintendent Santiago Wood was terminated. Bryan Wells was recently appointed Principal of the Ninth Grade Academy at Roosevelt High School. Prior to that, he served as Principal at Terronez Middle School. Bryan came to Fresno Unified because he welcomed the challenge. He is excited to be part of the team that's turning Fresno Unified around and making a difference in children's lives.
